This e-reader offers you touch-screen options and a unique technology of e-paper at its high level providing comfortable reading for your eyes. 16 shades of grey colour make your reading as easy as if you have a paper book. The technology is called “electronic paper”, as the screen behaves as a sheet of real paper. It generates no electromagnetic emission and has contrast of that of a printed paper, as opposed to the computer monitor, which may be causing eyes fatigue already in half an hour of reading. Besides, it is you who decides on size and typeface of the text! You can download huge amount of e-books by extending the memory to 64GB, flip through about 16 000 pages without battery being re-charged. An ergonomic design of this model makes its reading enjoyable anywhere — in a public transport, on a business trip or vacation. This e-reader is manipulated by a joystick and stylus – you can turn over the pages, search for a particular book or quotation, make bookmarks and write bookmarks. All you have to do is just to press one button and select a necessary mode. Each mode has got a system of hints and warnings. It can be used as an audio book, there are some games bundled, including chess, you can read RSS, view pictures and a calendar for the whole year. Firmware update is easy: just unpack and place the file in the root of SD. Copy files from the “Games” folder to the same folder on the device. After update the image file may be removed. PocketBook 302 can’t go to “sleep”, instead, it turns off completely. This will save your battery, so the device will last for about two month without recharge in the reading mode.
